i called loma linda and asked the same question you have about typing but they said that we could get it typed or send a hand written one but the hand written one should be very clearly printed, so i just sent a hand written one.you can call and ask to verify the same.

i had my application hand written, and i notarized my document in a bank, chear up they do it for free for their customers.

i just called loma linda today to know the status of my application and to my wildest surprise she said that she had just posted the invitation for my interview call . pls guys tell me what do they ask in the dexterity test .i am very tensed since i have just got back from india n haven't a clue.

As much as I asked her, she told me that we cant tell u anything about the dexterity test. the only thing i can tell u is, u will be able to do it. dont worry.
she said, u dont have to prepare for it.

hey nolls thanks for the reply .so that means we dont have to pracfor the dexterity since we dont know what they r goin to ask us to do right.
it seems duggan has a one day class for loma linda dexterity test do u know anything abt it or how useful it is.

yes, i know duggans has a class for it, its on 1st of oct.
150$ for the class.
One of my freind is taking this one,hope i'll be able to get info on that.

Hi! All,

In reply to all of your question, There are 4 excercise, somewhat like below.


1) carve a small tree design on a slide with carver, We have to put plastic slide on the given design paper , and trace it on slide and carve it ...mm thick.
2)Carve a molar from clay. They will give u a big first molar as guidence and big amount of clay so we have to carve, and make same molar like that.

3) On plaster slab we have to carve "U" and "T" .Means U on one side and T on another side.

4) Make a cube from sticks. and join it with wax.

Dont worry, they will give u demonstration before your excercise. And every time they changes excercise, so its just for your idea.

i think everyone is busy with the interview processes. I am a member in this forum from last one year and it helped me a lot for getting in to DDS admission in one of the best schools in USA. Coming to Loma Linda, as ivshah told, that is how the dexterity session will be in loma linda. And it is quite different from the other schools and it is interesting too. i think every one knows how many will be selected from the total applicants. So if u have any questions, regarding the interview process in other schools too, u can leave a message and i will try to help you guys as much as i can as i know how hard this period will be. I attended arounf 6-7 schools and i think i can help you guys a little.

Hi,
As far as the original documents, i think u can take them along with you as i dont remember whether they asked me or not. I would suggest you to take atleast for the second day i.e., for the interview day as they might ask u to show.

Coming to the dress code, u dont need to wear suit for the first day, and i would suggest to wear anything which makes u comfortable as u have to work hard on that day. No casuals. And coming to the lab coat, u dont need to take ur lab coat as they might give if u need.

hi nolls sorry for replying so late i did attend the one day duggan class last week .he is having another class this wk too. but i am not sure how much its goin to help unless the same exersises that he showed shd come.
