Loma Linda University Interview coming up and panicking!!

Hi!! Loma Linda University has just granted me an interview. I am so excited, but scared that I'm going to blank out during the interview!! Can someone help me out and tell me about their interview experience and what type of difficult/interesting questions I should prepare for. Also what was their essay question? Should I buy a black or gray suite?

You should wear gray. It is more like an interview color. Black is more funeral. I'm wearing brown though. When do you have your interview. I'm having mine Feb 2nd. You should the previous post on here. The interview is open file according to the previous files. People went and they post some nice stuff on here. I'm coming from the east coast all the way to Cali.

I also have an interview for Febrary 2 as well. What state are you flying in from? A friend just called me right now and said that LLU grants approximately 100 interviews and accepts 65. I believe that is a very good sign since we are both granted interviews, but I am still very nervous nonetheless. Is LLU your first choice of school? How exciting . . . I can't wait to meet you. We might be collegues.

I'm flying from Pittsburgh. I live in NY but I go to school in West Virginia and the big airport close to my school is Pittsburgh, PA. What about you? It is a good sign that your are invited for the interview. You have already 90% of chance to get accepted and if u do well on the interview you're in that's what I heard people say. And on top of that they call you after a few day from the interview to let you know if you're in. Loma Linda is my first choice. If I don't get in i will go to FAMU.

and u received a letter saying that all your documents were received? i apllied to FAMU also and I mailed my application on 29 november, and i have just received a phone call saying that all my documents have been received, i have not got anything in writing like you, so i m worrid.😕


also, different people over there tell me different things, once when i called the girl told me that my transcripts were not received, eventhough i sent it one month ago!!! the same day when i called in the afternoon there was another person answering my call, adn he said all my documents were received, processed and sent to the pharmacy!!! after this being happened, i would definately want to have somethin in writing from them, maybe a letter like you got, so that i have a proof that my documents were received.

Don't panic, the interview is very low stress, just make sure to be able to answer questions directly geared towards you because it is an open file interview and I'm guessing since they don't interview many people they actually have the time to look at your file.

Just be prepared for the basic questions... Why Pharmacy? Why Loma Linda? Talk about your leadership experiences etc..

Just be yourself! Goodluck I actually just interviewed with them this past Friday (Jan 19th) and was accepted this morning, got a phonecall, very fast.

From an old wise teacher who came before me: It is not wise to use a title before you have earned it. It is disrespectful to those who already have it. Using it with your real name (or so it seems) can identify you before you even walk in the door and kill your chances..because you never know if some faculty member..other than me is reading the boards or if you'd be interviewed by me.

I'm not From Florida. But I apply and hope I'm gonna get there or Loma Linda. I pray GOD He helps me.

I'm sorry if I offended anybody by using Dr. Biassi as Id on the forum. I mean no disrespect for anybody. Seeing that everyday is what keep me going and make me strive for the best. It is a dream to achieve.

Congrats on your acceptance PolarBear21. Will you be going there or still waiting to hear from other schools?

Thanks for the congratulations, I'm not sure what to do yet. I've already paid my 2k for Touro so even if I slightly prefer Loma Linda over Touro I'm still not sure what to do. I also don't know what the timeframe is for me to make a decision on Loma Linda, I'm still waiting to hear from USC (four more weeks) and UOP (2 more weeks), and I still have Western on Saturday.

I really still have to think about it 😕
