Hey,
I have an interview scheduled in December at LIU. Has anyone else interviewed with them? What did you think of the program and the facilities? What was the interview process like?

Thanks!

I interviewed there a little while ago. I wasn't too fond of the area the school is in. But the school itself is pretty nice. Very expensive though.

The interview process was in a group setting (which I didn't like), luckily there was only one other person interviewing during that time slot with me. After that, they break you up and see if you wanted them to know anything extra in private and they go over your application with you, tell you what is outstanding, etc. After that, they give you a tour. The whole thing lasted a little over two hours and was very stress free.

Good luck!

Ditto! The area around the school is actually pretty cool, if you frequent the area like I have over the years and know what's there: you are near several cultural centers and close to major subway lines. A lot is around there, you just have to know where to go.

The campus, facilities, labs and gym are all excellent. Faculty are great. Interesting research going on, if that's also your thing. I must say that I wasn't comfortable with group setting, either: I've never interviewed in a group before. It was bit awkward, but they made it as stress free as possible which I greatly appreciated! A learning experience... But overall, I enjoyed the experience, really liked the faculty and the program!

Enjoy and good luck!
