Long wait

It’s November...such a long wait for results. Have a relative that took different medical Board in October and would get their results before our initial board Psychiatry result.

Right now as of nov 1st, I see I can apply to child & adolescent psychiatry board.

Anyone else that can apply to subspeciality exam?

Last time had to wait this long for exam result was Step 2 CS...which was a little over 2 months

If you're taking your ability to apply for C&A boards to mean you passed the general boards, that doesn't work. Others have discussed this in previous years. We all kust have to wait.

I prefer to just forget that the boards even existed. Then in December, surprise!

Last years was a lot easier, I didn't study enough. This year I studied like crazy only to see tons of WTF questions. Dying waiting too. I don't want to have to go through it again.

I got mine email in Nov, you didn't? The paper one was Dec. Twice the failure.

Maybe they contact the people who did not pass earlier I'm not sure. I did check my email and account everyday starting mid november and this was similar for my colleagues who had passed. all the best for for your exam results this year!

I read thru the pinned boards thread and results came Nov 30 to all last year. If I recall right the boards were a few days later last year. Praying for a miracle

This wait is awful. I would love to get some inkling of whether or not I passed... but havent found any reliable indicators that might be available before the official results are released. (Apparently having access to other licensing exam applications doesn’t mean anything.) If anybody knows of any other “tricks” for figuring this out, I would be very interested in hearing about it.

The waiting is awful. But hopefully before 11/30 since the exam was a few days earlier this year. I so don't want to have to take it again.

I was looking over the exam schedule because I hope to recertify in psychosomatics next year, and it appears they have renamed the subspecialty C and L

It's such a BS exam. SO not clinically relevant. I know a few AWESOME psychiatrists who couldn't pass. I am not "amazing" but I studied my @ss off. It would SUCK to have to study again but I wouldn't feel bad about my skills or abilities.

Yeah, for the next few years. Then it'll be psychiatric medicine. After that it's medical psychiatry. Then just medicalP.

I was so hoping they would release scores today. I got mine at 830 am on 11/30 last year so I am guessing next week will be the soonest. I guess I have hope until then.
