C'mon all. We ought to be friends here. I don't say that lightly, as I enjoy stirring up controversy on the "Everyone" forum as much as anyone (except maybe Kinetic).

So lets not make this a competition, but also lets not jump down peoples throats for making comments that may or may not be a bit over the imaginary line.

I'd be happy to be residency classmates with anyone on this forum...

It really doesn't matter which school you end up matching too in regards to competitiveness. I come from a school with a very small neuro program and the residents (mostly IMG's) get fellowships where ever they want (harvard, mayo). Some locations may make the program more competitive as well as big name institutions (if you are going academic). I don't think board scores even get you in the door, at least for most programs (I've read some websites require a min. avg of atleast 200-210 for step 1 and 2; while others just want you to pass). For all those applying next year it appeared to me that my letters of rec, personal statement/desire and interview were weighted more. It's a small group and most academic neurologists know of eachother.

That being said make sure you have no academic blemishes, get involved and dont worry about the size of your schlong...that only matters for Urology programs, not neurology.

okay, i get this forum now. hey, its funny. i read it first before reading the boards score forum. man! can you tell we are getting down to the wire? i dont know about you, but i am starting to get streeesssed. so. everyone just chill. i dont have a schlong, but if i did im sure it would be h-u-g-e. and by that i mean, once i get my match list together, i am praying day and night that i get what i want.
