I'm trying real hard not to be the overreactive med student whining about something that is actually pretty trivial but I'd sure like to hear from those with some insight or experience. I'm a fourth year planning on going into EM. I probably have a very average profile (3.1 GPA, Middle of my class, avg med knowledge, good evaluations, active in EM and other organizations) but I was really proud of my Step 1 score of 227. Today I found out that my Step 2 score is actually a step backwards -- 218. I'm really surprised and very disappointed in myself. I just don't know how big of deal this really is. Any words of wisdom?
