Just curious as to what Immunology sources some people are going to be using or have used with some success. I know it's one of those subjects where you can really get lost in the details, so I was hoping someone would have some suggestions on a concise source that has high yield information but doesn't leave anything out. Thanks in advance.

Personally, I liked the Immunology section of the Kaplan Microbiology Lecture Notes.
Along with the explanations of USMLEWORLD you had enough info to answer every Immuno question on my exam.

P.S.: Just noticed that another SDN Member asked the same question just 5-6 topics below...

I second this.

I would use FA, Kaplan LN, and Qbank & UW explanations.
I myself like Janeway's Immunobiology for reference, but it's overkill. 🙂

Borrow a copy of Lange Microbiology & Immunology from a library.

The micro section may be overkill, but the immunology is short and comprehensive.

What is the exact title? I have found different variations of this ...

Agree.

The immuno section is 90 something pages long, a quick read yet very informative. Plus all the immuno diagrams in FA come from that book!

What version are we talking about here? or does it not matter.

I'll 2nd the Levinson book

the diagrams in FA came from various editions....its really not necessary to get the most current edition....any relatively recent one will be fine

Is this virtually the same:

Medical Microbiology and Immunology Examination and Board Review by Levinson (2004)?

Thanks!

Yes

In fact it's the edition I used. I saw nothing in the Immuno section that needed improvement.

The micro questions in the back are also worth doing for their content, although not representative of boards style.

Sweet deal. I was thinking about buying the new one; however, since I had this I wondered if it was good enough. Great to know, thanks again!
