I am looking for help, i am tryin to get some books for review for orgo, chem. i have taken the classes, but dont recall much. i was thinking about getting mcat examkrackers orgo and chem, but am not sure about it.please help me out.

For ochem and gchem the way to go is the DAT Destroyer, its amazing!! Personally, I feel like its the best thing to use as a study guide for all 2 sciences and if you feel you need more bio then get cliffs A.P Bio. The DAT Destroyer is what you want to spend your money on. It has about 200 questions per science with detailed solutions that give you a very sufficient explanation of the answer, while supplying you with more information about related topics. So theoretically it contains a lot more information than just 200 hundred questions. Furthermore, the Road Maps for ochem summarize every rxn and synthesis you need to know for the DAT. In addition, if you could do these problems in the DAT Destroyer you could definitely answer the DAT questions.
However, as great as this book is the most important thing is to study hard and review daily, otherwise its all worthless.

I also agree with Broncos, I have the Destroyer and I think that the large amount of questions for each section is more than enough practice and its on the money!! Also, I've used Kaplans BB and I think it's good but not enough practice questions. If you have the money, I definitely recommend Destroyer. I have Exam Krackers and I like it too, although it is for the MCAT but the more questions the better! Best wishes!

Hey thanks for the info, but just wondering if the examkrackers set would suffice for preparations for the DAT. I was reading about the DAT Destroyer and some say that it is complicated at times, or not explaining the problems enough. i wouldnt mind spending the money if it is worth it.

The destroyer just like any other resources can get complicated, if you dont have a solid foundation in that section. Going over Kaplan and Destroyer, I realized I has weak points on sections, so I went back to my textbooks to get a better understanding and then redid the questions. Achiever, Topscore, Destroyer, Kaplan questions, Crack DAT should all be used after knowing the materials to be used as practice and more practice!! With Exam Krackers, I began mostly with the reading section. Since the MCAT and DAT are two different exams, and Exam Krackers is focused on the MCAT, however they do focus on mostly the same topics so I don't see why not? The questions can give you more practice if you choose to use it.
