Hello there,

Like psi, I can't offer much help but I can give you some idea in the meantime. I am a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedics sports medicine clinic who is going to osteopathic medical school this fall. I use many manual therapy techniques on our injured athletes, many of which are osteopathic or osteopathic-derived. I use them regularly as indicated and they work very well in addition to regular exercise for whatever body part is being treated. But I too would be very interested in hearing what information specifically D.O. students or D.O.'s have on this topic.

I am an athletic training student and the sports medicine staff at the university I attend is composed primarily of osteopathic physicians. What kind of athletic injuries are you writing on? Specific body region? Chronic? Acute? I may be able to ask the physicians on our staff if they know of any good sources.

I am a second year medical student at UHS-College of Osteopathic Medicine and I graduated with a degree in physical therapy and practiced 3 years in orthopedics. What is sport therapy??? Never heard of it, sounds new. Is there any certification?
