Hi Lisjaimes,

Every school (almost) has a research department and a department head/ research guide. Write to them along with your resume. If possible send an abstract/synopsis of area of reserch and methodology you already thought of. After all if are keen about reserach then you should have a list of feasible topics and a plan to go about each of them. In clinical subject Perio is a good area and in non/para-clinical ones try Oral/ Craniofacial biology, Orofacial Pain, or something little diffrent from dental field such artificial bone grafts etc in biomedical engineering field. Hope this helps. Good luck,

rahmed

have you thought about a phd in oral biology or something like that?

I have been so busy concentrating on the dental boards and triyng to get into a program that I haven't really thought about a Phd...but If you have any information would be great....
🙂 Thanks!

you need to take TOEFL and GRE and apply to those programs at graduate schools like everybody does. i don't have the current information about GRE, but if you could score 2000+, you should be able to find one position with financial aid.
