I'm just under a month away from my DAT (July 1st) and am looking for some advice on how I should proceed from here. I took my first full length practice test with bootcamp and scored:
Bio 23
GC 20
OC 24
RC 18
QR 18
PAT 19

I'm not happy with my RC or PAT scores. As for math, I'm terrible at it so I'll be fine with whatever I get as long as its above an 18. I have always been a good reader but it was like my brain honestly fell apart when I started reading the first passage. I could not retain anything I was reading. I'm considering doing full blown S&D but I don't want to miss tone questions.. do you guys find yourself retaining what you're reading while stressed or do you end up going with mostly S&D? As for the PAT, I think I was simply caught off guard with TFE and I fell apart from there. I can get 15/15 every single time on the generators but was not expecting how "messy" the TFE was on the practice test. I ended up running out of time and just guessed answers for every single question on the pattern folding. Is it wise to skip ahead to hole punching/cube counting to get the easy points first and then do the next easiest section etc? I appreciate any input and advice! Thanks

those are really good scores for your first practice test and with a month still left! did you get through all the material before taking the practice test? I am also taking mine in early July but still am trying to get through all of Chads videos (gone through all of orgo and have gen chem left) and finishing up bio but will probably get done this week. Did you use destroyer before doing bootcamp? Planning on taking my first practice test this week but am very nervous about it!

I hope so! I know my science scores are good but like I said, I want at least RC to be ~22 and PAT to hit 20. Honestly I want all 3 science scores and RC to be a 24, I'm trying to overcome a 3.0 gpa 🙁. I have gone through all the materials so far and now just trying to perfect everything. For biology I've read cliffs and made note cards on everything other than taxonomy and memorized all of those. I've also gone though the first 100 bio questions in destroyer and have taken 3 qvault tests (25,21,20) and have made flashcards for all of those. For the rest of the month I'm going to reread cliffs, read feralis, and finish destroyer. For the chemistries I've watched Chad's about 2 months ago and have since done his quizzes for OC/GC 3 times each, read through tyjacobs notes, and gone through destroy 1 time. I'm planning on reading through Chad's outline w/ my notes, another read through of tyjacobs chemistry notes, and going through destroyer 2 more times before test day. I highly recommend all the material I mentioned. I've been out of college for 5 years and had forgotten everything so I'm sure if classes are recent for you it won't take as much for you to score good 🙂

Edit: I don't even know how to begin tackling taxonomy so I would love advice on that too
