Hi guys

I've been lurking around this forum for quite a bit now... I finally decided to join. Anyways, I have a week left til my exam and I need some advice on how I should attack my studying. I've been studying since June and I'm not scoring what I would like.

TS
AA 19
Bio 18
Ochem 19
Gchem 17
Pat 18
QR 18
RC 22
TS 18

This was my last test I took. I went over it and saw a bunch of careless mistakes. (I'll make sure to make all my mistakes now than later.) I know I need a lot of work on Gchem.

I've been using Destroyer, Cliffs Bio, and sometimes Kaplan Blue book. I also read a bit from Columbia High Yield Gchem.

I just took my first Achiever exam and I'm a little discouraged now. How someone can give me some pointers and a needed morale booster. Thanks

Edit: How should I prepare myself for the real DAT?

Jay

is that your topscore score or achiever score..if its achiever than you are in good shape..if its topscore than according to a poll done here people usually get within 1 or 2 points either above or below

this close to the test i feel like your not gonna learn much more bio..maybe go through a gchem text on weak areas and the same for orgo

Go a little slower, if you are making alot of careless mistakes but you know all the answers, then you are in very good shape. I would say to go slower and be more careful with your answers. I was making so many careless mistakes in practice, but on the real test i focused alot better and made like 2 only. You scores there are not bad and with a couple more practice tests itll go up to a 20.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I need to practice taking it slow.

I only have two achiever test left. Honestly, is it worth it? I mean, from what I've read, the achiever test is a lot harder than the real test. So it's hard to gauge my score? Plus having a low score in front of your eyes, days before the exam, doesn't leave much room for your confidence. 😳

Anything else I should also do?

Much appreciated

Jay

Edit: Klutzy what did you do to get 24 or Gchem or Orgo? That's awesome
