Looking For Volunteer Opportunities in Anesthesia On the Weekend

When you arrive seek a meeting with the Residency Director. He/She can give you a copy of the resident lecture schedule, grand rounds schedule, journal club, etc. Than just start going to events when you can. Journal club is probably monthly and is usually very social and after hours. No lectures, etc are likely to be held on weekends, but they may host or sponsor special anesthesia programs or meetings. Our department does and a motivated med student could probably attend for free or volunteer to help in some way. Fast forward to chief resident...
