Did a search and I found that other people had a problem with this question. Unfortunately, the answers people gave did not help me.

Question: Filtrate entering the loop of Henle is likely to be...

I said: Less concentrated than filtrate exiting the loop of Henle.
Why: Water is lost as filtrate goes down the loop, working to concentrate the filtrate

The answer: More concentrated than filtrate exiting the loop of Henle
Why: ????????????????

The Na+/K+/2Cl- transporter actively pumps out ions in the thick ascending loop. So the filtrate entering the distal tubule is less concentrated than the filtrate entering the loop of Henle.

Remember that the place where filtrate is concentrated is mainly in the late distal tubule/collecting duct.
