1. LOR from Professor

2. LOR from TA & Professor (SAME COURSE)

??

I was going to ask them to write separate letters (even though ones a TA, i have another science faculty letter, and figured the extra TA letter wouldn't hurt even if not so weighty - she's SUPER enthusiastic about me, and so I'd love that to come across) but she doesn't seem to want to write the letter on her own (for my sake, she thinks it will be ignored/not weighed much)

So should I say "yes, write a letter with my prof" or just let the prof write her own letter? If I say "no thanks" to the TA, how do I do that? I just asked her, so to say "well under these conditions nevermind!" seems rude....

Thanks in advance!

In her own words, "I will write a letter saying you walk on water and that the
medical world absolutely NEEDS you" (obviously, she's joking, but this kind of enthusiasm is great to have!!!)

Only get 1 LOR, and have it be from the prof. Have the TA write something up to give to the prof as extra info to help him write, but DO NOT use a TA for an official LOR.

So you would NOT have the TA & prof sign the letter? you would tell the TA "nevermind"?

I'd get the info from the TA, and give it to the prof to include/paraphrase/rephrase/etc. But I think having the TA's actual sig on the letter (as well as the prof's of course) will only act to water it down.
