LOR decision-who to ask?

I have two potential letter writers in hand…one of them is a Neuroscience professor with a Ph.D and the other is a Psychology graduate teaching assistant (GTA) who is currently a doctoral student. I think I may only be able to get one of these letters =/ Does it matter which one I ask for a letter? Does it look bad to get a rec letter from a GTA instead of a full-fledged professor?

Might look better, credentially, to get a letter from a professor. However, if the GTA would write a significantly better letter it may be smarter to go that route, IMO.
