As an applicant who has been out of school for several years, it may be difficult to obtain a letter of recommendation from a science faculty member with whom I took a course. What schools are flexible with this requirement? Would a letter from a science faculty member I performed research under fulfill this requirement?

Your best bet is going to be making a list of schools that you plan to apply to and doing the footwork. Go to each website and look at their LOR requirements.

You should check and see if your school where you graduated from has a pre-health committee, and see if you can get interviewed by them to get a letter from them. Most medical schools prefer those letters over individual science letters from what I have heard.
