I was wondering if it's worth getting a rec letter from my advisor who works in the "persons with disabilities" office. She knows me, my interest in med school, and my condition unarguably better than the pre-med advisor at my school. If not, it's not a huge deal. I already have 5 letters.

Opinions?

If you really think she would write you a strong letter of rec, I don't see why you shouldn't ask her for one. Plus, her letter would give insight to your condition. I say go for it

You want a strong letter, one that speaks to your motivations and your character, and from your point of view, it seems like this advisor would give you a better letter than the standard premed advisor letter.

Of course, if your school does committee letters, then make sure that you don't need the premed advisor's letter for it.
