Hey all,

I already have 2 academic letters and 2 strong physician letters (one DO and one MD). I shadowed a hospitalist last night who volunteered to write a compelling letter for me. Do I take the offer and submit three letters despite it possibly being overkill? May be worth noting that my academic letters are very generic and only comment on my academic performance.

More the merrier if you ask me. But keep in mind that most schools have limits on the number of letters.

I wouldnt say 5 letters is overkill since 3 is the absolute bare minimum for almost every MD school and a lot of DO schools
