I have been volunteering in a VA hospital's out patient pharmacy for one month, I enjoyed my time there because people there are so nice and helpful, both pharmacy tech and pharmacists, anyway, I got to know a pharmacist quite well, she's retired and now a part time pharmacist here, only Thur and Sat, she is really nice and peaceful, and we talked about pharmacy school, pharmacy as a career and everything, so I thought it will be a good idea to ask her for a LOR, which I did, but the question is, I just realized that the lor survey provide by the pharmcas ask for which school the pharmacist graduated from, here is the thing, the nice lady was graduated from a school back in Thailand, and then worked there for many years before she came to America, she did pass the pharmacist exam after she got here and received her license, I am wondering if this will effect any on her lor? I am worried that pharmacy school will not accept lor from pharmacist who graduated from a foreign school, any thoughts please??

As long as the pharmacist is licensed to practice in the states (since she did pass her boards here in order to work) there shouldn't be a problem. Because she is registered in the USA it's not like she is still practicing in Thailand-she's now held to our pharmacy standards.

Thank you so much!

Yeah don't think about it too much. If she's a licensed pharmacist she's good to go. 😀
