so i gave my professor 7 forms to fill out for pharm recs on 9/24. it has almost reached 1 month since then, and i don't know if i should start getting worried, or am i being unreasonable since there are so many forms to fill out?

i have emailed him several times to remind him, but he does not respond. he knows me pretty well and is a nice guy, but known to procrastinate. my next plan is to bother him in person. it's just really out of the way for me cause i don't go to school there anymore.

am i being obnoxious and impatient by bugging him so much, or should i continue my baggering? any suggestions? thanks.

btw, this is for the texas schools where apps open in sept-oct, and deadlines are jan-feb. i just wanna be early...i'm using this thread to vent, basically...

If the schools you are applying to are not rolling admission and their deadline is not until january, I would not worry. But also you could talk to him to remind him, just be polite about it. I've had to remind people to write LOR for me also, sometimes people get distracted and just forget about it.

It took one of my references almost 4 months to write a letter for me. He told me that I'd have to stay on him. so, I started talking to him weekly about it. Then finally, I asked him if he was still planning to write the letter and if not, let me know... He wrote it after that, and thanked me for the kick in the ***. I have a really good working relationship with this guy, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing the same. 😉

My question? Why 7 forms to complete? Are these Pharmcas schools? shouldn't they be able to e-submit, or does the individual school require additional letters?

wow, 4 months is long! i would have been so pissed...

texas schools don't participate in pharmcas. each school has a different form, and i also had 2 additional forms from out-of-state schools that don't participate in pharmcas either.
