Hi,

One of my recommenders seems to have left out the gridform from his letter and it takes a while to get everything processed and I need to send some letters our asap; Does anyone know if not have a gridform on one of the letters is bad; I dont see specific requests from most schools about this issue, but curious if anyone has any input on it; thanks!

you mean the gridform that is part of the letter form from the career center? i gave all of my letter writers forms without the grid - the grids are not required.

what the hell are you guys talking about?

i think he's referring to the LOR form....there are two forms from Cal's career center, one with a gridform where the LOR writer can rank you (like how you ranked in the class or among other students, whatever) and one without a gridform.

thanks for the info; so if two of mine have a gridform and one doesnt that wont be a prob; i agree that the gridform is dumb but for some reason i was under the impression that it was needed. Didnt realize it was only a Cal thing...

It's not just Cal, my school's letter service has a gridform too, but the medical schools don't require it or anything.
