I recently called to check the status of my application, and I was told that my application was incomplete. They said there was a LOR missing from a science professor. I assumed that the last of my letters had not yet arrived. When I asked if they had received the letter from my Neuroscience professor, they said it was received but would not count as a science letter. I was baffled...😕 😕 The letter was from a Brain & Behavior course I took with a professor with the Psychology department. Even though the class was considered to be a biological course (after all it was neuroscience) by my university, Michigan says otherwise. They said I have to find another LOR... I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem? No other school I applied to questioned this letter.. Its so late in the game.. I wonder if its even worth the trouble.

I can understand, most schools say psychology is a soft science if a science at all.

Sorry. 🙁

😡 that is so messed up. Michigan is interviewing more ppl than any other school I know. They are so freakin' picky it is riddiculous. I would try calling one of ur profs and ask them nicely if they could write you a letter and write it ASAP. Maybe even offer to write one and have them sign it and send it. Perhaps fedex it overnight.

That is still so messed up. I just think that LORs are such waste of student's and professors time. LOR should be optional... they are such pain in the A$$.

Good luck.

i had probs with my lors at michigan too, they kept losing them.

yea, i'm screwed. same problem here. i have no one else to ask. forget them.
