Hi Pre-pharmers/Pharmacy students,
I am wondering if I can use lettering service for my LOR part in the Pharmcas? or I would have to use their electronic email method? I think it would be more convenient for me to ask for LORs once and have it on file instead of asking again for LORs for each different cycle(in case I don't get into pharmacy school this cycle =/ ).

Another option is: Is it possible that I can have my LORS sent to Pharmacas now using the email method and have it on Pharmcas file until I actually submit my application so that I donlt have to wait until last minute to ask for LORs?

Are you planning on applying for this current application cycle (2010-2011) or for 2011-2012?

I believe that PharmCAS does not hold on to your LORs once the application cycle is over. You will have to resubmit LORs. There is an option of either having your LOR submitted electronically or through paper. But at the end of each application cycle, I don't believe they are saved for the next cycle if you do not get accepted to pharmacy school.

The only way I know of that you can actually have your LORs on file is if your college/university has a LOR service that they can provide. I know my school had a service like that and they keep it for 4 years (something like that). They also send out the LOR for you. There was a fee for this service and I ended up paying because I thought I would use it. In the end, I ended up using the electronic way through PharmCAs, which is a lot simpler.

Hope that answers your question.
