LOR problem

Before winter semester ended (April 2015) I asked my upper bio lab prof to write me a letter of recommendation request, she agreed. After she didn't submit anything after I sent the LOR request, I emailed her twice and no response. Today I visited her office and she wasn't there. Another professor told me he hasn't seen her since finals week in beginning May. She doesn't teach any classes in summer and he said the best way to contact her is by email. Should I get another LOR writer or wait for her in september? If I get another LOR It'll most likely be generic.

Currently I have a LOR from bio prof who I also worked in his lab and took a class with/ chem prof/ dentist
If I put down 4 recommenders names, but only 3 submit will schools still review my app, offer me interviews or will they wait for the 4th?

i was literally in the same boat a week ago!! i had a bio professor confirm he was going to write me a LOR and we spoke for several months and I sent him my PS, DAT scores, resume etc and he said he would have the letter in as soon as he got the link. weeks went by and he stopped responding to my emails so i called his office and he acted super confused ( like what LOR....) when we spoke on the phone. so then i started FREAKING out (in my head not to him bc i wanted him to write the letter..lol)!! and then randomly a few nights later around midnight i got an email from aadsas that he uploaded the letter..... it was so weird. but anyways he uploaded it so guess wait another week or so and if its still not up then ask someone else. good luck!!


* i don't think they'll wait for the 4th unless it is part of their LOR req. if the letters you have done so far meet their requirements they will start reviewing your app
