So I am planning on including one letter from a clinician in my application. Two separate people immediately come to mind for this. I am unsure of which one will be stronger... One is someone I have shadowed for the past three years and have gotten to know well; this person has written a few other letters(about 4-5) already to the school I am applying to this year. I am afraid the strength of the letter may be diluted. Two is someone I have shadowed minimally for about two years and also know well; the shadowing experience was different than any of my others. I am torn on which one to include? Thanks!

If one of the experiences included patient interaction and helpfulness rather than solely a passive observership, I expect the clinician would have more to say that an adcomm would want to hear about.

👍

Generally, clinician letters are basically useless if all you did was shadow. What could they say about you? "This student stayed quite when appropriate, asked questions, and didn't do anything outrageous."
