Question for anyone that has experience with this.

So i have 2 science LORs and 1 PI LORs

Can this PI LOR count as a science LOR?

I've taken a research class where he's had to give me a grade.
would this be sufficient as a science LOR?

I have 2 science lors and one is my PI because i did take it as credit one semes and received a grade. im hoping it's okay. has anyone else done this before? im also going to try and get an additional science letter this summer, i think by august.

I have a similar situation. It really depends on the school and how picky they are. Which school are you worried about?

Won't be a problem with Columbia. Only one of my science LORs was from a former instructor of mine, my other two were from my PI and a collaborator. Nothing was mentioned about it and I was accepted.

yeah, I contacted columbia about this situation

they lady was quite nice and said it was no big deal

sweet.

I'm going to assume harvard is along similar lines.
