I'm planning to get a LOR from my upper level bio professor. The problem is that the professor (although teaching a bio course) is a faculty member of the psychology department. Can this be counted towards LORs from "science" professors?

Don't think it should be a problem, just make sure the professor indicates the class he taught you.

Yeah, what they said. The adcom will just go by the name of the class when deciding weather it counts as a science rec. And be careful, because some classes apparently don't sound scientific enough. Believe it or not, one of my science recommendations wasn't accepted at my dental school because apparently "Ocean SCIENCE" isn't a science class. 😕

Psychology talks about the brain👍 does it not?
