LOR Question

I have sent my secondary and LORs into UMich. Some schools required more letters than UMich, so I had asked some people to write me letters, but I was not going to have them all submit their letters to Umich. Well I accidentally asked one person too many to submit their letters and they have all been sent already. Should I call the admissions office? Or what should I do? Will I be penalized for this letter?

I would call the admissions office and explain the situation, find out if you'll be penalized. You probably won't, but if they say something about it, maybe you could just call one of your recommenders and tell them to hold off on their UMich letter. I doubt your recommender will care since he/she is probably sending off half a dozen LORs for you to different places - one less to worry about!
