Hello,

So I was anticipating on applying 2011 for a 2012 acceptance but was unable to apply. In 2011 Summer I asked a physician to write an LOR for me and he submitted it to my University's Committee Review service in which they hold all the letters until I'm ready to apply. Can I use that last year's letter for a 2012 application cycle? Or do I have to explain to the doctor that I wasn't able to apply and I need a LOR with a 2012 date on it?

Since 2012 will be my first time applying it's not like I will be reusing aletter in which I've already been rejected. So is that letter considered old/not recommended for use?

Is it bad to have a LOR with last year's date on it if you've never used it?

Thanks

It is ok to use the old one and if they ask about the date then just explain. But you do know that want LORs from professors and TAs that you took for class or worked under, right?
