I have asked for letters from 2 science profs (one whom I was also a TA for), a philosophy prof, research mentor(worked with for 3 years), and a trauma surgeon that I have shadowed consistently. I have also been told by my writers that they would be strong letters. Does this seem like a good mix of recommenders? Any suggestions/comments?
Do certain LOR's play more weight than others? i.e do science faculty recommendations carry more weight than english faculty recs?
I am also participating in my school's Premed committee process. How much does the committee letter factor into medical school admissions? What is usually included in a committee letter?
