I have my old boss listed for one of my LORs on AMCAS. I have already been verified, have the rest of my LORs, and despite him saying he will submit it every week for months, he has not done so. I want to indicate that his letter will not be sent on AMCAS, but do not want to be delayed by the re-verification process.

My question is, will indicating this on AMCAS delay my application in any way?

Per the AMCAS FAQ: "You must re-certify and officially update your application after making a change. This will not cause any processing delays, and you will not be charged unless you have added more medical school designations.".

I'm unsure how to interpret the bolded part.

Any info. is appreciated.

I think verification only has to do with transcripts. I don't think it'll make you "re-verify" or anything. The best thing to do is call them though.

re-certify is different than re-verify. I think to re-certify is to go through the whole agreement and fine print that everything you said was true to the best of your knowledge something along those line.
