LOR Request for Maryland?

So Maryland apparently wants you to send recommendation letters ONLY after an adcom contacts you... how does that work? I mean, i'm submitting my LORs with the AADSAS which gets sent out to all the schools anyways. Do I have to resend it again once they contact me?

I think the best bet would be to call the admissions office and confirm because you want to make sure that you do everything to ensure that they have everything they need to consider you for an interview. I'd call them and find out whether you would need to resent them upon their request or if submitting once through ADSAS would be fine.

I sent mine in with my AADSAS application and then sent the application fee at the same time...I got this email a few days ago..

You personally sent them? I dont have mine, they were sent straight to AADSAS from the Dr. I worked for. How do you send them? Is there a way to request AADSAS send it? Doesnt it just go out with your other stuff?

I had them sent through a private confidential credential file system, rather than AADSAS. No, I don't have all the LORs in my pocket ready to personally fax whenever I feel like it 😛

Maybe this is a stupid question, sorry but I am learning as I go... How does it work through a private system? Did you have your letter writers send them to them directly or can I ask my schools premed office to do it since all my letters are on file there?

I just submitted mine through AADSAS last year. I had an interview with them, so I assume that it wasn't an issue.

Has anyone else still not recieved notification of their application being recieved by Maryland. My AADSAS application was mailed out mid June, as well as my application check, but I still have not recieved notification from Maryland.

You should check out Interfolio.com... you can definitely have your schools premed office send your letters there, the only question is whether the specific school you are applying to would accept your letters two steps removed from the writer.

I don't see why they shouldn't - it is accepted by every medical school.

I think there is a huge benefit to using a private company because your letters will be stored for as long has you subscribe - as opposed to AADSAS where you lose everything after the app cycle closes.
