Dear All,
Apologies for adding to the massive number of LOR threads, but I just couldn't find any that matched my question:

I know that several schools require science faculty letters specifically from physics, chem, bio or math profs.

However, if I took an upper division course in Biology (neuro cell bio), but the course was taught by a professor in the Psychology department (a full time faculty member, card carrying PHD who was also a professor of human biology, neuroscience and pediatrics), would a letter from this prof count as a science faculty member or not?

I am confused on whether the prof MUST be in the physics, chem, bio or Math department, or if it is sufficient for them to teach in that department but be affiliated with a department like psychology.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend calling the schools.
