I had a quick question in regards to sending a LOR after I e-submit. More specifically, my state school, UIC, highly recommends a dentist LOR (which he is still working on). All the other schools I applied to don't state it, but I understand the benefit of having a dental reference.

Now here's my concern:

I already E-submitted (mailed out 8/9), and 3 LOR's have already been sent to all the schools I applied to (Research PI, Chem Professor, and Anatomy Professor). UIC only requires 3, but if they begin to review the application and then see that another LOR came in, will they just disregard it considering I already have 3? Do I need to contact them and tell them another LOR is coming their way? I was just wondering what the best option would be in this situation.

Thank you

Your best option is to call the school directly. They may hold off on your application until your dentist letter comes in.
