anyone been out of undergrad for at least 6-8 years and would like to tell me how you guys got LOR?? I have all the pre-reqs but i don't have any recommendations. I really don't want to do post bacc because of this and I have good grades...

That's really tricky. Tons of people have professors write them letters when the professor barely knows them. Those letters usually end up being not very favorable and obviously cookie cut. If you don't have any significant relationship with any of your old professors maybe you should strongly consider the post bac? I really am not sure, but you obviously need those letters one way or another. I hope somebody else chimes in and can help.

I reached out to professors who knew me well in college. One of my very best letters (or so I was told at my interviews) came from a professor whose class I took 6 years prior to applying. Don't underestimate their memories.

Alternatively, if you have a GSI or TA who knew you well and can attest to your personality and work ethic, I would ask him/her to write the letter and have the professor co-sign.

most are retired and not responding. Would it be best bet to take classes during summer and get individual letters from the summer course professor?

I was in the same situation and will be applying this June. I took four classes during Fall 2015 and made sure to establish good relationships with the professors. Worked out well.
