Although I’ve already searched, I haven’t found an answer to this question of mine:

I’ve got three LORs lined up: one from the Chair and Professor of the Biology Dept w/ whom I’m doing research with, one from a biochem professor, and one from my dentist. All of the above know me well and can comment on my character as well as academics. However, I’m having trouble finding a 3rd science professor that can write me a great LOR. So should I ask a professor that kinda knows me well or ask a nun that I have a great relationship with (since LLU requires an LOR from a religious leader anyhow)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m going to be asking/gathering the letters soon.

I also have a question regarding letters of recommendation. Do the people writing the letters need to write one to EVERY school that I'm applying to (making copies and switching the Dear School X to Dear School Y) or do they write ONE letter that I send into AADSAS, and they distribute the letters to the various schools??
Since different schools require different types of letters of receommendation (written by different types of people)...how would AADSAS keep the letters straight of knowing which school to send them to? A little help would be appreciated 🙂

why don't you check exactly what each school your applying to needs? If they need 3 academic letters, then get 3 letters from profs.

True, generally you only need three, but some require 4. Contact the school or look on their website.

The schools I'm applying to have a "minimum" requirement of 2 science professors and one dentist. I don't want to have just the bare minimum, so should I get a great character reference or an "okay" letter from an additional science prof? Which would make my application better as a whole?

have your letter writers send one copy of the letter to AADSAS. AADSAS will copy it and distribute it. Im pretty sure that all the letters will be sent to the schools to which you are applying, so pick letter writers that will satisfy all the requirements of schools. also, see if your school has a pre-health committee that will write a composite letter. i think most schools prefer these.
