I was wondering, after I ask the professors for LOR's do they have to send them to AADSAS or can they give them to me and I send it AADSAS when the application cycle opens this May??..

You need to use a letter service that will hold the letters for you till AADSAS opens up. If the letter touches your hand theoretically it has lost all confidentiality and is almost worthless at that point. At my school the pre professional office had a letter service and the professors sent them there directly. Once AADSAS opened up I paid my $15 or so and they were mailed off.

There is the option for your professors to upload it directly to AADSAS but honestly I didn't trust their computer skills, plus it was extra work as they had to log in and create an account.

you could also use a letter holding service such as Interfolio (www.interfolio.com) if your school does not have a health professions office

Really? My professors found it really easy to submit electronically. It was a matter of opening a link in their email, putting their name and credentials and submitting.. Or atleast that's what they told me...

well, i had my profs write them, seal them, and address them...and i collected them and mailed in one single overnight envelope to aadsas. well, with the exception of one of them, who she emailed her letter (said it was quite simple too)

My profs preferred the online submission method as well- it was simpler for them. If you opt to do electronic submission you may want to send them an email reminder when they can actually submit the LOR for you
