I am a nontrad premed who will have to do post bac work to get all the prereqs in. I am 25, a mom of a wonderful two year old, work full time and school full time. However, my school is a State of NY adult school. All the same curriculum as regular SUNY's except that we either never or rarely meet for class. One class I took a small group met every two weeks, another I scheduled meetings with my professor every two weeks and it was an hour one on one. I digress.

I am taking all my science courses at a regular SUNY campus due to the fact that my school does not offer labs. I have just finished my first bio class and hope to continue one science per semester, except for summer where I can take night classes at the local community college and get a year done in one summer.

My question is... with such little time spent at the University, and no time for bio club or such, how do I form a relationship with a prof? There are close to 500 in the lectures and a TA for labs. Also, can it be any prof, or just science? Any advice. Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you so much in advance.

I have the same problem. Even in advanced courses my classes are 100-150 big! The premed req classes were about the same size at yours.

Right now I can't send out most of my secondaries.. I only have one letter from a prof and the other prof is out on sabbatical.. dammit.

It seems the only real way to get to know profs is to go research for them or boink them.
