Go talk to your schools preprofessional (premed/predent/etc) advisor. They should be able to point you in the right directions. That or just look at the website of some of the schools that you want to apply to and see what they require. Some schools have additional classes they require beyond the standard 2 sems of biology w/ lab, 2 sems of general chem w/ lab, 2 sems of organic chem w/ lab, 2 sems of English, 2 sems of general physics with lab.

yes you need those classes for most dental schools and sometimes a couple more depending on the school. If I could do it all over and still did a biology/microbiology type of major, I would basically take all the classes that they offer in dental school, so that my first year in D school would be easy to be in the top.

such as: Histology, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, maybe even pharmacology or neuroscience.

Nevertheless, a lot of students on here say that while these classes might get you a step up, any diligent student can be in the top if he/she puts in the effort.

I just finished up a pathophysiology class and I must say if you get the chance to take one, I highly recommend it. Fascinating topic....
