I have 120 credit hours completed and no Bachelors...I will have about 150 by the time I complete all of my pre-req's for pharmacy and yet still no Bachelor degree. Does this look bad? Anyone else have the same situation?

me, too
same situation. I want to know about this fact.

Hi,

Can I add that if you have a Bachelor's degree, it is very slim to get finaid, especially, trying to complete pre-pharm requisites. I found this the hard way, but life is all about finding a crack around the parameters

Most of my units were from stupid pre-reqs and GEs for my AS. It took me 12 units just to get into Calc.
Algebra>Trig>Pre-Calc>CalcI>CalcII>PhysicsI>PhysicsII

Intro to Physics

Of course I went on to finish my BS, but I finished with 160+ units.

I think I finally ended up with about 125 credits when applying for pharmacy school and I only had a AS in general studies. I applied at about 9 schools (I forget) but I did get into one --> my first choice - USN SJ.

Will you all have your degree by Fall 2008? If so, then that is almost as good as having a degree when applying for this admission cycle.

wow! you really did start from scratch with the math huh? couldn't you just have tested into Calculus or even precalc for that matter? 🙂

I just figured you had to follow their schematic. I never questioned testing out of something. Of course the highest math my high school offered was Pre-calc and we had no AP. I was probably better off running the gamut anyway. (I found out high schoolers had tested into Calc without taking prereqs, but I'm not bitter. I'm pretty sure I went the way that was best for me.)
