for those of you are still studying for DAT...
when I was studying for DAT, some of these thread got me more nervous...
but it definately helped ...
thanks so much to people dedicated study tips...
briefly speaking about my test, science part is fairly easy. short questiong mostly no more than one line sentence. straight forward.
and PAT is harder than any other practice one. I usually got 20 above. but I got 18 on the real one.
reading paragraphs were easy...but I got low scores 16...it was always the toughest pary for me anyway...
QR was easy..well I am math person..I usually got 25 above. and I got 26 on a real one.
overall, my scores are
AA 21
BIO 18
GC 21
OC 23
PAT 18
RC 16
QR 26
TS 20

I am happy w/ my score. I consistently got like 19 on topscore and kaplan.
I had been waiting for this time to post my story.. 😀
btw,
I have one question..
what does the percentile exactly mean on DAT score?
how is it calculated?

for those of you who are taking DAT soon, just don't study too deeply if it is only for DAT. and whenever you get tired or something, try to read other's stories. it would be absolutely helpful.

nice work jinniechoi! now you can relax - you did great! thanks for your words, i was much more nervous before i read it! (i am taking my test soon!)

the percentages are supposedly based on how you fare against how other people do. It's just a scaled score, a lot of people say it doesnt matter; your actual numbers are what count.

Dang!!!!!!!!!! good job! For realz... thanks to all that write on this thing... made me nervous... made me think... but kept me focused on the test. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

thanks guys...
I was really really nervous before the test date...
but don't you worry......
it was a lot easier than other practice tests....I am saying that not because I got a good score but because it was...
so....relax....do whatever you have been doing.
you all will do good....

GREAT JOB!!! I have to agree about the PAT...completely caught me off guard. I was pulling 22s on practice and got an 18 on the actual test. DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE TO USE A FAT DRY ERASE MARKER AND # LAMINATED SHEETS OF PAPER FOR SCRATCH PAPER??????? I Got ripped off! I was constantly erasing!!

Hey,
I also had to use laminated sheets with a marker which was a huge waste of time. Either I spent tons of time erasing or I left the marks on the sheet for too long and it was hard to erase. That's what I get for taking it in Ann Arbor.

Yeah, I was given dry erase boards and markers also and found it extremely time consuming because the marker would constantly dry up, and also, some of the notes I wrote during RC were erased by placing my hand on the board. I faxed a complaint letter to ADEA and they offered me to take the test again. I'm not sure whether I'll accept that offer though...

yes I had to use the erasable paper and the marker.
IT wasn't what i expected.
good to know some of testing centers do not provide scratch papers for DAT takers.

my testing center gave me two pencils and 2 sheets of scrap paper.

me: well, could I please have some more?
the woman: no.
me: why?
her: it's a rule.
me: I need more.
her: if you need more, raise your hand and we'll bring two more sheets. we're big on rules here.

yeah, like there'd be time to raise your hand and wait for someone to bring you more paper if you ran out during the PAT or QR.

same deal with me too... but lucky for me I had superwoman as an attendant... she was like ...bam! right there when I was about to raise my hand... I think i gave her a good cardio workout...especially during the QR section... I write big!
