Just out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know how much an extended duty dental assistant can make in Louisiana with 2 yrs experience? I am planning on moving there for school and wondered if anyone knew. I know it will be lower than CA, but thought I'd ask. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, didn't know where else to post it.😀

I'm not really sure you are going to get many answers on this from anyone in this forum. Pretty much everyone here is applying to a doctoral program. I personally have NO CLUE how much dental assistants make anywhere but I do hope you find your answer. If you are banking on this forum though, you may want to search in a forum for dental assistants. I know they are out there.

Sorry 😉 Just wanted to let you know in case you were in a time crunch that it may be better spent posting in a forum where people know more about dental assisting info esp since you even have a specific state in mind.

Go to dental school! We could help you then!!!! 🙂 Well actually if you bring up dentist salaries in this forum, some go ape, too! Seems to be a sensitive issue because a lot go into the field for the money and the hours (according to some).

Actually, My goal is dental school. 😀 I applied last cycle but didn't get in. So I'm going back to school and getting a second BS this time in Biology. (my first one is in Psych and I have 2 classes left for pre-reqs) then I will retake my DAT's and by then have about4yrs experience. So I have some minor work to get done, before I'm actually accepted but soon enough it will be here. Yea, I have read some threads about salaries....anyhow I appreciate your help!👍
