I had my interview today and I was wondering for all others who have interviewed with Louisville...How explicit have they been with you in the interview? Did they say you for sure would get accepted on Dec 1? Waitlisted? any other advice of what you have to do to be considered...?

Hey! In my exit interview yesterday, they didn't say much about a future acceptance, but i don't think it was a bad thing. My interviewer and I ( Dr. Zanel) had excellent conversation that lasted well over 45 minutes. I really am hoping for an acceptance because the faculty are such an awesome group of people! Did they say anything to you about acceptance possibility?

With myself and about 5 others, we all discussed our exit interviews and we all got very generic feedback, nothing too specific concerning our likelihood of getting accepted.

I dont know how explicit they really could be. They still haven't interviewed everyone so let's just hang on for the ride.

i had a pretty good exit interview but i donno if it says anything.

when i was there, she told me that "your interviewers were able to see your strengths very well from the interview. we really like the students who had struggled in the past but who were able to get over it and achieve something good" and then she also mentioned that "Louisville is not too far from Texas (which is where I am from), so hope you really liked the city."

I honestly had one of hard interviews there (discussing why my GPA was not good at the beginning of college but I was able to be honest and talk about it) so I think everything clicked at the end.

Also, at the end of the interview day, once all the applicants leave, ADCOM (including all the faculties and students who interviewed that day) sit together in that waiting room and go over each of us. I had to stay near the office until 4 PM and they were about to start reviewing the applicants so i had to leave the room.

This has nothing to do with the exit interview but...

I interview at the end of October with UofL - any advice on how to prepare or what to expect would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Yea for anyone that has already interviewed.. any particularly hard questions they asked you or any away from the norm? 👍

They didn't ask me any really hard questions beyond the standard "Tell me about yourself" and "Why dentistry" questions. Be prepared to tell them why you want to go to their school specifically. It was really a laid back interview overall. I found this site to be very helpful when preparing: http://more.studentdoctor.net/schoollist.php?type=3

Good luck.

I think I had the same person interview me too. Did we fly back to Chicago on the same plane? She was by far the hardest interviewer but I am glad because she asked more than just the "tell me about yourself" questions. She discussed the strengths and weaknesses of your application. She was very blunt and almost short with me but I think in the end it worked out. Everybody there is super friendly. Just be honest and you will be fine.
