has anyone with a 20+ on the DAT and out of state received an interview there yet? Im with dsmack this is one of my top choices for the same reasons he stated in a different thread (family friendly, friend served his mission there and loved it, etc...), but I havent heard much aside from my application is complete.

I got the invite 2 weeks ago from Louisville, and I have above avg stats, so they arent excluding people from interview just because they snagged a 22 or whatever on the DAT

i just had an interview there on friday, they said they are looking for above a 3.5+ and 19+ i think on the DAT for the most part

i also recently interviewed there and i can tell you they seem to be big on the overall class composition. it seems that a lot of mormons apply to UL (there were at least 4 at my interview), so i think that it might be more likely that you are competing with other mormons if you made it evident in your app. that you are mormon (if you went to BYU well, that's pretty much a dead give away😉 ).

just based on my observations that: there are a good number of mormon students at UL, there were quite a few at my interview, and that UL seems to be so big on overall class composition --- the fact that you haven't gotten an interview may have more to do with the other mormon applicants you are competing with, just a thought.

To those who have interviewed with UL this cycle. Can you tell us your interview experience. Thanks.

it was terrific!!! #1 on my list. i was totally blown away by the commitment of the faculty and staff to the success of the students. the day is very comprehensive with a long info. session, tour, lunch and interviews. both of my interviews were terrific. my interviews were very conversational and flew by. i felt like i belonged at the school. then, i had an "exit" interview where i basically talked for another 30-45 min. with the acting dean. we talked about a number of dental related things and my sincere interest in the school. he told me my interviewers had been very impressed by me and that was about it. i thought i would get more of a feeling of yes/no but apparently that was not the case for any of the other applicants as well. although, 1 guy told me he got a rather negative vibe during his exit interview, so i guess you might be able to read b/t the lines a bit. i certainly didn't get a negative vibe from anyone, quite the contrary.

i really loved the school and the town and i hope they really liked me--- i would be thrilled to go to school at UL:luck: :luck: :luck:

I just canceled my October 2nd interview (this monday) because of the amount of interviews I am getting and the lack of time I have to attend them all. I didnt really know much about Louisville, but it sounds like a might have made a bit of a mistake. Either way...congrats on the success of your interview and GL
:luck:
