I got the same thing......i was wondering the same.....hopefully this will send this thread back to the top so someone answers it

I am also expecting the same forms from Louisville, as stated on Infosource

I was also wondering, this late in the game, is Louisville not already full? Is it even worth it for us to send in a fee and what not? I mean that would imply interviews sometime in February, and acceptance in early march, seems like a crapshoot, unless over half the class is still empty

Any help would be appreciated

Here is the deal... they sent out all acceptances, but many declined, so they are sending additional acceptances as we speak. I have a friend who currently attends UL and is a second year. She was interviewed toward the end of February and she along w/3 people from her group were accepted and are currently UL second year students. So, I would venture to say it is worth it to send your fees and forms. Good luck to everyone. I got an acceptance, but I'm declining, so there's another open spot.

thank you wimmcs by the way did you go to the interview, how was the school?

I've got an interview there on the 7th of Feb. which I scheduled about a month ago. I would see no reason not to turn your forms and $ in. Can't get an interview without 'em 🙂

As someone pointed earlier on a different thread, UL possesses an incredible staff who is very caring and treat their students very well. I was personally impressed by the school and the town itself is beautiful. It is true that they have a very good clinical program and there is so many opportunities for students to do extracurricular activities including research. My friend absolutely loves it there and I stayed an extra day to take a look around the place and I loved it!!! The facilities are not as new as some others, but their program is very well organized and students consistently tend to rank higher in the boards. My friend went to Belize during her first year and is planning on attending again in March. She got to perform some pretty cool procedures while she was there. I also noticed the student morale seemed pretty good. As I was walking during my interview I had the oppty to ask questions of students that were just walking around and I got the sense that everyone just loved the place. Many of them told me they were accepted to other programs, but they just fell in love with Louisville. This was one of my favorite interviews and I truly believe UL's quality of education is very high. I really liked Dr. Currens and the dean Dr. John Williams is very nice and down to earth as well. I wish you luck during the interview and if you take a look at the interview feedback, you will notice that everyone (at least the last time I checked) had a positive comment on their interview experience. I for one was impressed overall with everything UL has to offer.

Hey Eran,

Its Virgil from Buffalo. Guess we will meet again 🙂.

Why would they send out forms for you to complete if they weren't taking any more applicants? I can't believe they would waste their time (considering they don't care about you at all) dealign with the responses. I just sent a decline there, so that should be at least one spot. It was a great school, one of my top choices! Great program, faculty is super chill, and Louisville is definately taking part in the Southern mentality. Friends who attend there say it was easier than their undergrad, but they are learning a lot to. Seems like a good place to go if you really want to enjoy your time in school.

Hi, I am in Canada, and I have just received the Louisville Residency Determination form and a request to pay 50 USD.

My question: As a Canadian, I am delayed by roughly 1 month of time. If a school sends a letter on Say Dec.15, It will arrive in my Home on Jan.15 as the postal system completely SUCKS

ie: Dec 15, school sends out checkl
Jan 15 I get checklist
Jan ~25 school gets my reply by EXPRESS MAIL
Feb. 10 School sends me reply back
Mar.10 I get reply
etc
etc
etc

Being delayed 1 month (like being in a time warp) is just killing me for all my US school applications

snoopy, go get a post box in blaine (or billingham if you must). Then just call the schools and have them redirect all mail to your US post box. seriously, driving 30min to the border would be so worth it if you got in.

Hey snoopy, I know what you mean, but if the school really wanted to get something to you, they will do it fast. For example, I just recieved an NYU invite by UPS, it was sent out yesterday from NY... (I live near Toronto btw)
And I have previously recieved letters from Boston, Temple and so on.
You can do whatever you can on your part and send things back Express, I sent in my Louisville residency and MO by Express and it's guarateed to get there in 5 business days, for $10, I thought it was worth it. So, do whatever you can on your part and let the other things happen, but call schools every once in a while to make sure nothing is lost in the mail, cuz I heard many stories about that 😱
So, send in your Louisville and lets hope we both get an interview there 😀 it sounds like a good school to go to.

As far as being notified in a timely manner if you do get an interview with Univ. of Louisville, they send out their interview invites via e-mail. At least that is how I was notified for my interview. Recieving an invite by e-mail would cutt a month and a half off of your above timeline. Unless it takes e-mail a substantially longer time to reach you also 🙂
