Anyone out there considering Louisville? I never hear anything good/bad... Any ideas? According to the stats page, I feel like I might make a strong candidate there...

I interviewed there recently. The people were so very nice. The students I talked to said that the staff and administrative people aren't just that way to the newbies there to interview. They say they are that way all the time. The upperclassmen are nice to the new guys as well. The facilities were nice. They didn't impress with lots of bells and whistles, but I didn't get the feeling they lacked anything either.

From what I saw, Kentucky was nice too. A bit humid for my taste, but that's becuase I'm from the desert. It was very green and there were tons of trees. The city is pretty big, but the traffic was never too nasty.

Overall, I got a very good impression of the school. I hope you get an interview and I think you'll see what I saw.

if AADSAS would send my flippin' application out, I might be interviewing there.

I have a friend that is from Kentucky, and he said that Louisville had its share of things to do, and was a fairly decent place. He didn't know anything about the dental school though. From what I have heard, its a nice place.

I'm a student at ASDOH, but got accepted to Louisville last year. I would have gone to Louisville if I didn't end up in AZ. My friend is a d3 there and totally loves it. I was quite impressed with the school overall. The adminstration seemed very receptive and very professional at all times. I really liked the town of Louisville (stayed an extra day to see the "scenery"). I got to meet lots of students and asked many of them walking around the d-school what they thought of the school. All of them said they really liked the school. They have a strong clinical program and they have a few international programs that seemed interesting. There were other positive stuff, but can't think right now. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that I could never be considered in-state, but that goes w/many of the dental schools. Good luck!
