I know that I got my application in kinda late but has anyone else had heard anything lately?

I called yesterday to see about my application, but of course their system was down. seems like they have trouble with that thing ALL the time...

I haven't heard anything from them since I submitted my secondary last October. When I called them way back when... they said their system was down too. 🙄

Since like 2 months ago, my app has been on hold b/c they need me to fill out a residency determination form. I called them at the time (2 months ago) and they said they would send it. I've called them every 10 days since then b/c I have not recieved it. They keep telling me that they will send ASAP....I dont know.

I know what you guys are talking about. I've been accepted and have decided to go there, but I've had trouble getting in contact with the people I want. The only person I've been able to talk to lately is the lady who answers the phone for the admissions office. I know the school did some major construction work to the admissions office in late Dec/early Jan and they've also had trouble with their computer system. When I was at my interview I heard UofL was upset with the way AADSAS was working this year, and that's been giving them some problems. I hope everything gets straightened out soon and you guys hear something. Good luck.

the residency thing.. isn't that part of the secondary application?

hah... they were supposed to call me back when the system is up again. Either the system is not working yet, or they don't remember they need to call me back. i guess I'll try calling again.

i want to get at least one other interview outta this year. The only other place that I have a hope of getting an interview is VCU. but seems they're slow as Christmas too.

yes, they do seem a bit slow, but many schools are too. the last I heard from them, their 2nd rounds are around feb 1. let's keep those fingers crossed...

Just called. The system is back up I suppose. I was told my application WAS complete and that it was just waiting to be reviewed and I should keep an eye on my e-mail.

So potentially good news.

I was put on the "next to be contacted list" in December. I got an email last thurs telling me I'm in and the official letter came yesterday. Last year I was put on the same list and never heard back from them so to finally get in was a relief. So I'm not sure about the second round coming in Feb - sounds like they have already started.

Also, I've found that emailing Robin is the best way to get a response.

Also, does anyone know if Louisville DMD class for the fall is full yet? I am not sure if my chances are good at this stage.

Just interviewed at Louisville last week.

According to the interviewers, they've: "sent out enough letters to cover current open slots, but expect there to be declines which will keep slots open."

It's a nice school. Very cool folks there. Hoping I get some good news in my mailbox soon!! *crosses fingers*

Which school (in your opinion) has a better program, between CASE and Louisville?
