I recently was rejected by Lousville, but, in the rejection, they said I should possibly consider their Masters in public health program, as it would make me more competive for dental school. Does anyone know just how much more competive this would make me? Did everyone receive this that was rejected from Lousiville?

I don't have the letter so I wasn't able to go back and check but, I don't recall my rejection letter saying anything about a MPH degree.

Mine said the same thing. I would imagine it would make you more competetive, but it will also take you a couple of more years to reach your goal.

This is the first year of the MPH program, starting Fall 2005. They're recruiting, seeing the website says they're still accepting applications...

last year when i got rejected by Creighton, the letter mentioned 2 other programs at their school (one in radiology and .... i cant remember) and suggested i check those out. This sounds very similar, they just want to get the word out about their programs. You can make your application more competitive however you find most appropriate.
