I've read through the many threads on this topic but I was hoping to get some advice about my particular situation. I had one year (two semesters) of low GPA that stick out pretty noticeably in my overall academic record:
Fall 2017: 2.84 GPA; Spring 2018: 3.31 GPA. Overall: 3.67 GPA. During this year, I had no Fs or Ds, but 2 Cs and a number of Bs.

The secondary question is:
"Have you experienced any road bumps in your academic career? (Low academic performance, dropping, retaking, or failing courses, etc.) If so, please explain your circumstance.

I'm really not sure if this needs to be addressed since it was just 2 C's. The classes were Calc 2 and Mechanics (Physics 1). I went through lots of health struggles during this time, but I worry this will just sound like an excuse. I also managed to miss an online final exam for a class during this time, dropping my grade from a high A to barely a B-. This was my junior year. My grades throughout my senior year were stellar, and I think it's fair to say that I showed I can handle my classes. Any advice, should I write about this or not? Thanks in advance.

Eh, not bad enough that it would warrant mentioning in my opinion. A couple C's are not that uncommon. Just my thoughts

Thanks for your response! Can anyone else offer advice?

No. You’re competing with people that’ve overcome D’s and F’s. Two C’s? No. Adcoms are gonna think “... that’s it?”

How many is too many?
Depends on the person. It's one of those "I know it when I see it" situations. If your GPA is fine and the C's are in non-science classes, I usually don't care. C's in pre-reqs will make me scrutinize a little bit further (e.g are there upper level classes with A's, etc), but there is no absolute number in which an application is thrown away.
